The East Midlands Railway Photographic Society (EMRPS) did a night-shoot photo charter at Toddington station with D6948 and the maroon set of coaches on Saturday 11th March. The loco was posed in a variety of locations around the station during the evening resulting in some lovely atmospheric photographs.
D6948 will be operating the GWR’s green timetable diesel diagram on the 1st and 2nd April 2017. This will be its first use since restoration as D6948 on the GWR’s normal timetabled trains. Full details on the Roster Page click to continue reading

With a number of maintenance tasks completed prior to Christmas, 37215 satisfactorily completed its booked duties at the Christmas Cracker event on the 29th and 30th December with the loco running reliably as ever. The shore based pre-heater that we have used for many years now was once again fired up and proved its worth in preheating the power unit before starting – saving much wear and tear on the engine.
