D6948/37215 60th Anniversary DVD Information

Hellfire TV have confirmed the release, and the details for ordering of, the film of our triumphant 60th Anniversary bash for 37215 and D6948 that took place on Friday 16th August 2024. Hellfire TV were invited by the Committee to record the day and to create a celebratory film for future sale. The film, available to all, is 56 minutes duration and is now available for those who attended to relive the day or, for those who couldn’t attend, to enjoy for the first time.

If you haven’t watched the sample 6 minutes then you can on the Hellfire TV You Tube site here – https://youtu.be/V-aGfBbl7vc. There is also a huge amount of other content on the site, so if you like it why not subscribe and support Martin and the team

Available on DVD and Blu-Ray formats, the cost for each is –

  • DVD – £18.99 +£3.49 p&p
  • Blu Ray – £22.99 + £3.49 p&p

You can now order via the Hellfire TV website by clicking this link – https://www.signwell.com/new_doc/nT2e6WspxX298tgS/. This will take you to an order form where you can choose format etc. There will also be a link on our new webstore that will (hopefully) take you to the same order form in the next day or so. Payment can only be made via bank transfer (using your surname as the bank transfer reference), although card payment can be arranged by contacting Hellfire TV directly via the email on the order form (there is a separate charge for this on top of the item cost and p&p). It is also currently planned to have a small, finite number of physical copies available via our sales stand activity but there is no further detail on when these will be available.

All profits made from the DVD/Blu Ray will go towards the upkeep of our two locomotives – what better way to support two of the best examples of preserved Class 37s in the country.

A huge thanks from all of the GG Committee must go to Martin, and his fellow camera operator Richard, for filming and compiling this for us. Hopefully, you will all enjoy it as much as we enjoyed putting the day on.

Martin from Hellfire TV gets to grips with D6948. The smile never left his face all day!
