Planning for the finer parts of our 60th Birthday bash for 37215 and D6948 is well under way and tickets are now available from our new online shop. Tickets are only available from the above link and in advance of the event. None will be on sale on the day or via the GWSR website.
The timetable has also been written and is shown below. First train will be non-stop from Toddington to Cheltenham Racecourse leaving at 0920. First train off of Cheltenham will be at 1015.
As you can see, we will be joined by our colleagues in the Cotswold Mainline Diesel Group (CMDG) who will also be having a ‘Social and Fundraising Day’ utilising Train 2 along with ‘Peak’ 45149. Tickets WILL NOT be transferable and will not allow travel on both trains – only for the train/event that you purchase tickets for.
GWSR Timetable changes from 7th May
Due to staffing issues in some departments of the railway, the GWSR Board have taken the decision to reduce the number of trains run on all of the timetables from Tuesday 7th May, 2024. The changes will see the following:
** On the PURPLE timetable, the diesel-hauled train will now leave Broadway at 1520, arriving at CRC at 1620. The train will then leave at 1635, arriving at Toddington at 1707.
** On the PINK timetable, the first diesel-hauled train will leave later from Toddington at 1020. There will also only be 2 complete round trips (with two trips Toddington – Broadway) with a daily mileage drop from 84 to 65 miles.
