The Group’s AGM was held on the 14th March 2020 in the Tim Mitchell building at Winchcombe and was attended by 15 members.
The meeting received reports of the Group’s activities during 2019 and the status of 37215 and custodian loco D6948. The highlights were D6948’s very successful visit to the West Somerset Railway and 37215’s bogie work which had now been completed.
Importantly, a new chairman was required, following Dean Tabor’s decision to step down and Paul Good, one of the founders of the Group and our existing Technical Officer was unanimously elected as chairman. Other changes included Simon Hale replacing Phil Dumelow as Publications Officer, and Mark Whitcombe (former committee member and one of the for D6948 owners) re-joining the committee. Simon will take over as Editor of the Growler magazine with immediate effect.
