Work continues unabated on D6948, with the buffer beam skirts now successfully fitted to both ends following completion of work at no.2 end. Thanks to some patient and high quality fabrication work by Mark Stanley and Phil Seymour, the loco now has the look of its original 1964 appearance at each end once again.
