The new roster for August is out and is now uploaded to the ‘Roster’ section of the website. It is a relatively quiet month for the locomotives but, not only do we have our celebration event on the 16th August but we also have a ‘Double Up Sunday’ on the 11th August meaning that you could get over 120 miles behind both locomotives in two visits within the same week!!
Finally, in conjunction with the 60th Anniversary event, the 30th anniversary of 37215 entering preservation and the impending 40th anniversary of the founding of the ‘Gwent Growler Group’, I completed an interview with Andy Coward of Railways Illustrated for a feature on the Growler Group and our ongoing aims in preservation. It will be in their September issue that should be out shortly before the event on the 16th August. Keep an eye out for it!
