The 25th September 2023 brings a big anniversary for 37215 – 25 Years in active preservation! Bought from BR in 1994 and transported down from Inverness TMD, where it had been taken for component recovery, 37215 would move under its own power for the first time in preservation at Toddington on 5th July 1998, but it wouldn’t be until the 25th September before ‘215‘ would work its first service on the GWSR.
In celebration of this first service, the Pink timetable day on Sunday 24th September 2023 will see 37215 take on the diesel turns to celebrate 25 Years in Preservation Service.
