It’s that time of year where we are deep into the preparation for our showcase event at the GWSR, the Diesel Gala. This year our two locos will be joined the remainder of the GWSR home fleet, which include guest loco, Class 26 5310, from our friends at the Llangollen Diesel Group and, after a successful test, Class 20 20228 – which will make its preservation debut in its new guise (it did run in its old CFR condition when at the Barry Tourist Railway). click to continue reading

The June loco roster has been issued and the running dates added to the ‘Roster’ section of the website. The month will see both 37215 and D6948 in use, including both being in use during the ‘Ale and Steam Festival’ on Saturday 15 June. click to continue reading
