Firstly, the ‘Behind the Scenes’ stuff. There has been a number of projects being pursued to promote the group further. the first we can announce is that we will have a stand at the ‘North West Rail and Transport Collectors Fair‘ on Saturday 13 June at Crewe Alexandra FC. Well, 2025 is nearly at an end and it has been a highly successful year for the Group and its locos. Both 37215 and D6948 have performed relatively flawlessly throughout the year, demonstrating their dependability and usefulness across the railway – alongside it’s fellow diesels. click to continue reading

D6948 has now safely returned to Toddington after its hugely successful sojourn to our friends at the Severn Valley Railway. The five days spent at the SVR were thoroughly enjoyable and certainly exceeded the wildest dreams of everyone connected with the maintenance and upkeep of the locos. D6948 certainly put on a show and proved a popular machine throughout to both the SVR crews and the assembled enthusiasts. Now she is back at home, D6948 has had its lifeguards and horns refitted and is now back in traffic – although the main season has now ended. click to continue reading
