The new running season is upon use with services starting on the 1st March – however the mainline locos do not start until the 5th April. In readiness, the maintenance team have been busy completing all the necessary examination tasks, along with a couple of small repair jobs, on both D6948 and 37215 to make them ready for operation. click to continue reading

Services at the GWSR are now on the slow-down towards the end of year and our November/Winter shutdown periods. Both of our locos have performed without major incident throughout the year and will be working right up until the end of October, as well as (hopefully) a couple of turns over the Christmas/New Year period….D6948, in particular, will be in use on turns at the end of October. click to continue reading
