The dust has settled on a very successful 2022 Gala and early indicators point to it being one of, if not THE, most successful Diesel Gala’s staged at the GWSR. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both of our locos were involved with 37215 in use on each of the three days, running faultlessly after it’s return to traffic only a couple of weeks earlier. D6948 was used for static display with cab visits. These proved to be very popular in 2019 and so it proved again this time with a lot of people taking the opportunity to have a look – many of whom left a nice donation as well. Many thanks!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But, it is back to normal services and 37215 is scheduled to be out quite a bit throughout August. We start with an unexpected Pink Timetable Day on Tuesday 9th August (3 full round trips – due to a lack of steam crew) followed by Purple Days (last round trip) on the 10th, 11th, 16th, 17th and 18th August. Obviously, these come with the usual caveats around availability. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
